Everyone: Instead of asking us to provide specific examples, why don’t you provide a specific trade example. State why you got in the trade and what your exit strategy was (stop, target and expected trade duration). I say this a million times a day. every stock is different and every market day is different. Often traders blame their exit strategy for their lack of success when actually it is the trade entry that is flawed. If you enter well with (LOTS OF CHECKBOXES MARKED) the stops are easy. When you enter a choppy stock and the trade is ill-conceived (no market tailwind or game plan) you are doomed from the start. Yesterday you saw me stop out of some SPY trades just because the move did not happen in the predetermined time I had established. You provide the specifics (get detailed) and we will take a look. Please post annotated charts with your game plan.
