Here's What We Traded Recently
This is a simplified preview of our chat room last week. Notice that many traders are posting great stocks and the action is widespread. We are a laser-focused community trading a systematic approach.

Last week, the market staged a major breakout through the SMA 100 and SMA 200 on the US-China trade deal. There was immediate follow-through on heavy volume, and that's bullish. This week, the market is testing the breakout. Early in the week, the market found resistance at the high from last week. The initial selling pressure was not very impressive, but that changed on Wednesday after the poor US bond auction. The dormant sellers over the last month were awakened, and they sold the market off hard—over 100 points on very heavy volume. In fact, Wednesday saw the heaviest volume in the market since 04/11/25 (the week after the massive post-Liberation Day drop, where we had extreme market volatility).
Yesterday was an LPTE inside day with a slight upward bias for the majority of the day. We initially saw some two-sided volatility at the beginning of the session, and that was a sign that both buyers and sellers were present. While the market was able to gradually float higher in a low quality manner for most of the back half of the day, those 2.5 hours of gains were vaporized in the last 30 minutes of trading on heavy volume selling. That tells me the selling pressure is still there short term, and that's consistent with the market testing the big breakout from last week. How the breakout is tested will be very important to watch.
As of 10:30 PM PST, Asian markets are up overnight, while S&P futures are as flat as a pancake.
For today (Friday), we are in pre-holiday trading mode with the upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend (the market is closed on Monday). It's very, very common to see trading volume die down the day before and after a holiday. Although we have seen some volatility this week, I believe that the chances are high that today ends up being another LPTE session. Because of that, I feel that the best thing you can do is to assume LPTE conditions until—and unless—the price action and volume tell you otherwise.

What I'm trying to get at here is that any trade you take RN is being done in marginal LPTE market conditions. If it works, you'll feel like a genius. If it doesn't, you'll go "of course I shouldn't have taken it the market wasn't giving me anything". Practice restraint and only engage if/when the market actually gives you something.
"But what about when our thesis is that the market isn't going to move much and won't help/hinder our trades?". That is a situation where you can trade in (with smaller size, hit and run approach), but I don't feel like that applies here. We are on major support here and VXX is staying elevated even with the market chopping higher.
"But what about Hari? How come he is allowed to trade this?"... are you hari? Probably not is my guess
